A chemical engineer born in Bogota - Colombia, she was far from having any relation with the children's footwear industry. She was working in an oil area in Colombia (Barrancabermeja - Santander), when she suffered a severe work accident that almost cost her life.
Due to this, disastrous event, she who didn’t know that she was pregnant, lost the baby in traumatic circumstances. Furthermore, she needed physical therapy to be able to move her hands again, that have been affected by this workplace accident.
She was extremely worried about losing the ability to work as an engineer because of physical, financial, and emotional difficulties caused by this gloomy day. Instead, she clung to her FAITH.
Those nights of tears, desolation, and despair, she was praying more fervently to know God's will for her life and have raised a new hope and enthusiasm for helping babies in Colombia and around the world, in the way “Zapaticos Notuerce” is created.
Zapaticos Notuerce began in 2016 with a cardboard, in the trunk of the car, in the parks of (Santander – Colombia) which bore witness of the beginning of this dream that requires a lot of time and effort, and the joys of life became happy. Today, “Zapaticos Notuerce” is a profitable company helping babies around the world. The only thing that's more important is to see satisfied parents and happy babies and helping them grow. “Zapaticos Notuerce” have received thousands thank you letters. These valuable details bring life and joy to a woman that believes that she could not get out of that sad situation. In 2020 the company grew in a blessed way, started to sell their products internationally, this is the reason why the name changed from Zapaticos Notuerce to Tapitap Shoes, simply pronunciation.
God and Mother Mary are the owners, managers, and marked in this company. we exist by the grace and mercy of God; this is a real testimony of a miracle of life and personal overcoming.
But... few people know, that behind her recovery, appeared was an Angel named #Goofy 🐶, a Creole puppy, who became her emotional support as well, who was given to Luisa Fernanda, hope during her difficult situation.

Many people said that when something is happening to a human, the animal also is happening something. That is real for me. Two months after Goofy arrived in her life, she went to the hospital and Goofy as well. Goofy had a deadly disease called "parvovirus” the doctors said that he was very small, and his body would not survive but he was in the animal hospital, and oh surprise!!!!! He lived 👏
She comes home from the hospital but two months later she went to the hospital again, her baby was still alive, and doctors needs make a surgery. Goofy, mysteriously got bitten by a tick and got a disease called "ehrlichia" this time the prognosis was worse.
Well, Goofy with his history, the vets said that he would not survive because he had no defenses. And... he survived 🌝 and she also got out of the hospital but (without a baby).
Both recovering, very sad, with pain and with their bodies very battered. They became one, she helped him, and he helped her. They overcame everything together, healed together. In 2022, seeking to expand the company “Tapitap Shoes- Zapaticos Notuerce” Luisa met a family that lives in the United States. Karol and Rodolfo knew the brand because they bought “Tapitap Shoes” for her baby girl during her first steps, and they love the design and features.

Due to this disastrous event, she who did not know that she was pregnant, lost the baby in traumatic circumstances, and apart from that, her body had to go through physical therapy to regain movement in her hands, in which it looked that they were affected by the complexity of what happened.
Because of the impossibility of continuing to work as an engineer, due to the devastating physical and psychological problems of the accident; and in the middle of the impatience, the current problem, the economic problems and all the present adversities, he clung to the only thing he had, his FAITH.
In those nights of tears, despair and loneliness, the prayers to the Holy Virgin - as the engineer assures it - were heard. And Maria placed in her path the opportunity to put her effort and her illusion in serving many babies around Colombia and throughout the world, and thus Zapaticos Notuerce was born. Holy Virgin Mary is the owner, administrator and worker of this company. Because of her we exist and for all of you is the real testimony of a miracle of life and improvement.
